Land Registry
The Isle of Man Land Registry maintains records of property ownership across the island.
Property Searches
You can search the register to find out who owns a property, what restrictions apply, and whether there are any charges. Online searches are available at gov.im/land.
Title Registration
The IoM is gradually moving to compulsory first registration (like England & Wales). When a property changes hands, it must now be registered with the Land Registry.
Conveyancing
Property transactions on the IoM require an Advocate — the IoM equivalent of a solicitor. There is no DIY conveyancing. Expect to pay £1,500-3,000+ in legal fees for a standard purchase.
